Aims of the Club

Whilst the principal function of the Midway Club is to hold a monthly luncheon where current or retired senior insurance executives and professionals employed in allied fields can meet together informally in convivial surroundings, it is ever mindful of the underlying objectives, enshrined in our Constitution, which are to:

  • foster good fellowship and provide social contact between members;
  • provide practical advice and assistance between members; and
  • assist the integration into the Victorian insurance community of recent arrivals from overseas or interstate .

This last objective is observed diligently, for people that have moved to a new City will be only too well aware of the stresses on self and family that such a relocation can impose.  Consequently, meeting with a group of allied professionals initially as a Club guest and subsequently as a Member can help a new arrival fit into the Victorian insurance scene, and be of enormous benefit both to the Member and his family.
